Intensive programme

The IP has a student load of 5 ECTS credits. All Euroculture students from the partner universities meet with faculty during a ten-day intensive course in the second semester. The IP is structured according to the four fields identified in the first semester and its aim is to deepen the knowledge and understanding obtained in that semester by a joint discussion and reflection (part A).

The IP-theme changes annually on the basis of current issues. It is also a strong intercultural group experience. Furthermore, it gives students the chance to engage with faculty and students in an international setting, allowing them to discuss the papers they prepared and to receive feedback on their proposals for the Master thesis.

Of course, the IP also provides an opportunity to improve one's foreign language skills and intercultural competence as well. The structure of the intensive course allows students to approach the topic of the IP in diverse ways.

Group work, public lectures, seminars and workshops with external experts who are familiar with the topic from practical experience make up just part of the schedule. See annex for an overview of the locations and themes of the IP's offered in the pas years.
